The ophthalmology department of Zhongshan Hospital affiliated Xiamen University comprises a team of 21 full-time, dedicated and fully- accredited ophthalmology staff. The clinical work conducted at the department over the years has been tremendously boosted by our specialist, who has dedicated time and resources to those keen to pursue high standard of practice and quality care for our patients.

Our department has 26 beds, and performs ocular surgeries in two operating rooms equipped with the most advanced equipment, including Zeiss ophthalmic operating microscope, Alcon phacoemulsification, endolaser and Alcon vitrectomy equipment. In addition to Roland electrophysiological diagnostic systems, the department has automated perimetry, oculus keratograph, fluorescent angiography, anterior segment imaging processing system, ultrasonography, automatic refractor, keratometer,UBM and OCT among others. 

Our Services
• Treat common conditions such as cataract, pterygium, uveitis, retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy and less common conditions such as refractory glaucoma , ocular oncology, pediatric eye disorder, trauma.

• Perform surgical procedures such as phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation, intraocular injection, laser photocoagulation, scleral buckling and pars plana vitrectomy.
